![]() Crazy Taxi 02/09/2000 Crazy Taxi is the type of game that the Dreamcast needs to produce to stay alive when Playstation 2 and Dolphin arrive. With all of the elements of a fun game, Crazy Taxi is the kind of game you can't just ignore and not play at all. This is a serious MUST try game in my opinion. The graphics in this game, as with all Dreamcast games, are very nice with no pop-ups and easy-on-the-eyes texturing and colors (However there is some occasional slow-down I must note, but nothing to take away from the game). There's just something about flying through a fully 3-D city at 100 MPH that's extremely fun. The sound is very nice with people yelling for a taxi and screaming at you when you almost take their heads off. The music used in this game is perfectly fitting, especially with it being hard rock including Offspring. While there are only five or six songs total, they don't get repetitive because you’re also concentrating on driving through traffic and not crashing. The controls are simplified but amazing in how you seem to occasionally press the wrong button. But the buttons are easy to learn and the "crazy moves" are easy to perform and fit in well with your normal driving. The game, while it must come to an end, does offer a 3, 5, or 10-minute free run in arcade and original mode. So this little feature will keep you coming back to play every now and again. As I stated in the beginning, Crazy Taxi is a MUST try game that you have to be psycho to not try out at all. So if you have the means to try this game, whether it is Blockbuster or a friend, go try it out. Written By, Neutropia ![]()
